WARMING UP IN KEDAH !

5(Langkawi)

Kedah is one of the states that located in northwest corner of Peninsular Malaysia. Kedah is a famously known as the “Rice-bowl of Malaysia” as its landscape is dominated by the flat expanse of paddy fields against a backdrop of rolling hills. It is also because it Kedah produce more than half of the country’s home grown rice supply. Kedah, an agriculture-based state, has shifting its economic thrust from agriculture to industry. Other than that, industrial estates have sprung up in Alor Setar, Kuala Kedah and Sungai Petani while the government has started developing and promoting tourist facilities where the island of Langkawi is growing importance.
6 (Gua Langsir, Langkawi)

Langkawi, a beautiful archipelago of Malaysia is shrouded in mythological legends. The term ‘Langkawi’ is believed to have connections with the kingdom of Langkasuka. Another sources believed that the term ‘Langkawi’ means Eagled’ Island. In addition, it is a combination of two words Lang and Kawi. Getting around this picturesque island is possible through a good network of roads and means of transportation. The island of Langkawi were infested with pirates living and feasting on boats and travelers who chose to sail in their waters. The attraction in Langkawi is the Cave of The Banshee, Gua Langsir where the cave is so deep and dark where nobody dares to explore the cave as people believed the cave is home to a female vampire called the langsir. The most attraction of Langkawi is the Isle of The Pregnant Maiden. It is related to a romantic story concerning a celestial princess and a male genie. These stories have also influenced people to go to Langkawi as they want to explore the history lies behind the striking places.
7 (Cenang Beach)


Now let’s take a look at the most popular beach in Langkawi which is Pantai Cenang. Pantai Cenang is the most popular beach among backpackers or tourists. This is because Pantai Cenang has their own uniqueness and support by the most popular water sport at Pantai Cenang. Pantai cenang may not be as rowdy as the Las Vegas strip but it is Malaysia’s most developed west-coast beach; its shores are a gorgeous mix of white sand, crystalline turquoise-blue waters and verdant palms. Moreover, there are numerous small to large operators here, some of who have kiosks right on the beach and offering all kinds of water based activities like jet skiing, banana boating, speed boat etc. As you walk along the road Jalan Pantai Cenang, you will see outlets and stalls of these operators offering many different packages for island and boating tours, as well as for the watersport activities.
